Don't Mistake Action for BE-ing

Living in the FLOW

Don’t Mistake Action for BE-ing

Living in the flow is living my true purpose. When I am “in the flow” I feel light hearted, energetic and brimming with joy and gratitude. My insides feel like they are glowing. Tasks that need doing get done swiftly and easily. Time seems to stretch perfectly to fit my schedule leaving me with a sense that I have accomplished a lot in a very short time and now have lots of extra time to accomplish more.

When I am out-of-flow, I feel stressed, disassociated with my inner spirit and emotionally and physically heavy laden. How do I regain a sense of living my true purpose? This is what I’ve learned lately.

Don’t mistake action for BE-ing.

In other words, doing certain actions will not restore me to my purpose. Telling myself that IF I do this and this and this I will THEN be back in the flow and back to living my true purpose is the wrong way to go.

Action does not place me “in the flow”. Living in the flow means that I consciously create a state of being. It’s the BE-ing in the NOW that redirects me to living my true purpose. When I’m feeling stressed the wrong path is to direct myself to do this project and this task and this and that, in the hopes that when I have accomplished them I will magically regain a feeling of being “in the flow” again.

The purpose of my life is to BE-come my authentic BE-ing and to flow with joy, bliss and gratitude. My purpose is to BE in a state of BE-ing that serves my highest good. It all falls apart for me when I mistake DOING for BE-ing. Nothing that I set out TO DO will produce the state of BE-ing I desire. Instead, I have to first regain my sense of BE-ing and THEN set myself tasks and goals to accomplish.

I’m learning that it only takes a few moments of meditative quiet to make contact with my authentic self. I close my eyes and slowly let go of my physical self, allowing myself to BE an energy-being. I go to a special place and immerse myself in THE FLOW of Universal energy. I stay there long enough to shift into a place of gratitude and joyful expectation, reminding myself that my purpose is to create and experience a life of fun and enjoyment. I remind myself to lighten up and give myself permission to experiment and choose and discover this and that about my ideal life while I’m a physical being creating THIS reality with my thoughts. I remind myself that if I don’t like this reality I can start creating a new one.
Then, I slowly come back from these few moments of quiet meditation and refocus on a task at hand. It’s my state of BE-ing that defines my true purpose in life, not the actions I take or the DO-ing that I accomplish or don’t accomplish.

That’s what I’m in the process of learning and I hope that my VIBE VIEWPOINT inspires you.
